Update on 06/02/26: I filed a dispute with my bank after my appointment in April and I was able to view her responses. She told them I only filed the dispute to get a free service. A service I never even received that she tried to charge me in full for. A Ouidad cut is not recommended on fine non curly hair and highly discouraged if the goal is to achieve curls. Cindy is a curly hair magician. Each time she cuts my hair, I am amazed by how she brings my curls to life. I have been going to her for years. I always leave the salon happy and looking (even) better than when I arrived. I love that her haircuts grow out beautifully, I can transition lengths easily and go a long time between cuts if I feel like it. She is a highly skilled professional and is caring, thoughtful and funny - a delight!
I visited this salon as a POC with fine/wavy hair based on a recommendation. Upon arrival, the owner looked me up and down and made a condescending remark about my hoodie, implying that she didn’t think I was entitled to a luxury experience based on the casual fit I picked for the day.
