This review is for Lauren. Yesterday McGee “Pack fire” broke out. This fire was bad and ended up, causing my family to evacuate from their home. They were right next to the fire, in the line of fire. I was planning on traveling up to Mammoth to see my family for my birthday weekend. I wanted to get my hair done while I was up in Mammoth by the salon that I always go to, Salon 437. I’ve been getting my hair cut by Jenny and Amy at Salon 437 for over 10 years—longer than most of my friendships. I’m terrible at describing what I want (“uh…short but still long?”), and yet they always nail it. Every. Single. Time. The salon is clean, relaxed, and everyone there is friendly and welcoming. Very poor at responding, even after I’ve paid to have a service that needed follow up, I’ve had to be the one to reach out and still no response. On this side of the service I feel low valued which sucks when it comes to something as valuable as expression with hair. :/ Update after three messages and a review I was gotten back too! Still have different stances and expectations on client/service offer relationship and overall didn’t feel warmth in my time connecting with this salon and felt like a bother. Best haircut I have ever received. Lauren did a great job and I would highly recommend booking with her. Also, as I was reading a few of the reviews, please understand that this establishment is not Supercuts. If you want to "walk in" and get a haircut, please get one in L.A. before visiting our beautiful small town. This is a professional upscale establishment which requires individuals to book an appointment online, which might I add, is less effort than driving here to see if they accept walk-ins.
