I’ve been going to Salon 42 for nearly 8 years and I’ve never had a bad haircut or color here. They are always very good about getting me appointments when I need them and their stylist all stay up to date on what cuts and colors are in style. My stylist always listens to what I’m looking for and I genuinely look forward to seeing her each time.

This is a very special place! My Grandma was a stylist before she passed and I grew up in salons and there's a special atmosphere here. From the moment you call or walk in the door you are met with warmth! They were able to squeeze my 15 yo daughter in after her mother (me) watched too many YouTube videos and thought I could give her blonde hair (I didn't) but they looked at pictures of the mess and got her in with Krissy and the prayers began. I am so disappointed in whoever they have working the front desk, and I have never had this kind of treatment there. The receptionist, a young dark-haired girl, was so rude to me after I asked if I could purchase a bottle of shampoo and wanted a little help. She was so dismissive and literally told me, "you're just going to have to wait," while rolling her eyes. I waited, and she didn't even come to help me. Thanks for nothing! Won't be coming back if you can't treat your customers with respect.

This is the best salon in Charlotte! I have only good things to say about the management & their employees. The owners care about their customers. Employees enjoy working here & you can tell! Adrienne & Christina are the best concierges that greet & assist with appointments. I’m a long time client 15 years & wouldn’t go anywhere else! Cristin is my stylist but all are qualified & do a great job!
