This was my 2nd dining experience at Sallies,as the first was delicious,I was expecting the same.I ordered the filet mignon,med rare.The steak was hard to cut and the taste of it ,sour,as in old meat.The potatoes and salad were good.I expressed this to my server,who told me she would share with the kitchen.After one bite,I left it on the plate,as I felt it would make me ill.The server kept insisting it was good and they wouldn't serve anything else.I asked if the chef offers a replacement or if she could come talk with me.I ... read more
Awesome french fries and food in general
My wife and I stumbled upon this place after a long day of vending a booth at the Spring Dunedin Downtown Craft Festival. We really didn't know what to expect and when we walked in, had a feeling we were underdressed for the occasion. LOL Having said that, we were hungry and needed the comfort of AC after a long day outdoors. We had a great time. My wife and I met friends this past Tuesday. I cannot say enough about our experience. We were started with an amuse bouche that was outstanding. It was one of the Chef's soups having a very well balanced curry flavor, paired with perfectly cut beets and, what i think was a chevre goat cheese and small flat bread point. Being an Executive Chef for the last 25 years, I am a sucker for knife skills and just the presentation of the amuse bouche alone, I knew we were in for a treat. Went to Sallie’s Bistro for the first time & I was blown away! The atmosphere was classy & inviting and our server Michael was attentive! The food was fabulous! I highly recommend Sallie’s Bistro if you want exceptional fine dining! We will definitely be going back!
