I purchased Salix MoviPrep for a cleansing colonoscopy (not inexpensive $75) and was given a $20 rebate card from my Doctor. I have submitted the rebate form with receipts 3 times & it continues to get rejected for unknown reasons. As most rebate programs are confusing intentionally, Salix rebate program is at worst false advertising & at best just embarassing!!! I will never purchase Salix products again!!!
Like others, I find the Salix $20 rebate program for MoviPrep to be a sham. I very carefully submitted the receipt for payment from the pharmacy along with the carefully completed rebate card. I received a rejection yesterday for -- as near as I can tell -- not having a receipt for payment with my name printed out on it. No such receipt is provided at any pharmacy with which I am familiar. It concerns me that MOVIPREP has included aspartame as an ingredient, in spite of FDA approval. There is enough evidence to question putting this when there are much safer substitutes for "sweetness". My husband, Leonard, was a family practice physician who encouraged his patients to be engaged in their health care, eating healthily and as free of chemicals, additives, and other not well studied ingredients.
