Visited to address 2 issues two years after having a total colectomy. I feel that the doctor (Leena Salina) did not have the knowledge to address them - severe anal itching. She prescribed the same OTC medications that I informed about, so it was a wasted visited. She could not give me the OTC name for micantin, and she recommended Gold Bone baby powder which is no longer sold. After waiting months for my appointment, I received a phone call from Dr. Saline's office informing me that they would not see me because I had seen another GI within 5 years. This was not mentioned when I made the appointment. I did mention that I wanted to establish with a new GI at the time I made the appointment. Very unprofessional. Poor standard of care.
Dr.Saline takes the time to explain any tests that you have done, and is very thorough. She genuinely cares about your health.
This was, hands down, the worst Dr visit I’ve had in my entire life, and I’ve had many. She barely said a word to me, did not review any of my records ahead of time, repeatedly asked the same questions over and over, and generally acted annoyed that I was even there. Did not ask about any past symptoms, did no physical exam, and left the room without any follow up instructions or next steps. I have no idea how this Dr has any positive reviews, they must be family members.
As a new patient, I was extremely impressed with Dr. Saline's professionalism, knowledge about my previous medical history, diagnosis, suggested treatment, and kindness.
