I was referred to Dr. Kurra by Dr John Paneros, (who is great BTW) and was looking forward to my appointment with her. When I called to make an appointment, the staff was EXTREMELY RUDE and CONDESCENDING. I let it slide, thinking that surely Dr. Kurra would be worth it, since she was referred by Dr. Paneros. I scheduled a video visit 2 months in advance. That video visit was supposed to be today. I didn't received any calls, emails or texts to confirm or to explain how I would receive the video call link. I called the office... read more
Dr. Kurra is an excellent physician. She is a great listener, is friendly, comtemplative, and helpful. She does mention evidence based research during her visit, which I very mucjh appreciate. She clearly has vast clinical experience with thyroid and adrenal issues.
I have been a patient of Dr. Kurra for the past three years. From the beginning I have been impressed with her professionalism and knowledge. She has great bedside manners and I always walk out of her office feeling well taken care of. She cares very much as to how her patients are doing and I really appreciate that. When I’ve called her office she responds quickly to my inquiries or concerns. I highly recommend Dr. Kurra. You can’t go wrong with her. She’s a great doctor and a lovely person.
This is a review of Dr. Kurra's office and not Dr. Kurra. However, she is complicit in the incompetencies of her support staff. They do not answer their phones, causing situations in which patients go over a week without medication. They give conflicting information even when a patient is going through the process of preparing for surgery, and ontop of this are extremely rude when you do get a hold of them. Dr. Kurra needs to look into this problem and rectify. It is legitimately unethical to leave patients without medicatio... read more
Please note the 1-star review is for problems with the Columbia system and not this doctor. I met with Dr. Kurra earlier this summer regarding thyroid nodules that my previous endocrinologist had caused me to feel extremely anxious about. Dr. Kurra has a calming demeanor and warm disposition. After several years of worry I finally feel comfortable about my course of care and prognosis. I recommend her highly and am grateful to have her as my physician.
