Vote this Crawford person out. They send your employer a garnishment letter if you are more than 30 days late on a car tax bill that you just bought and forgot to pay the additional exorbitant tax this city charges. They dont send you a second notice as required or put a hold on your tags. They play it dirty and dispicable even when you are current on your taxes 99.9% of the time. Salem, VA is the absolute worst place to choose residency in this COUNTRY. The police SUCK, the government is as crooked as they come, and with 2 children, the schools are HORRIBLE. I can't believe the place I chose to be, pay much higher taxes, business license, etc. would treat their citizens as they do. Beware. You will be miserable moving your family to Salem, VA. Roanoke Co. Is a MUCH better place to live. Please look at the ratings/reviews before you make the same mistake I did of moving my family of 4 to Salem, VA.
