We offer several tours above and below ground detailing the rich history of these tunnels once used during the Underground Railroad period and Prohibition. Started in the 17th century and expanded in the 19th these tunnels are truly mysterious and stretch ov... read more

Chris is an excellent tour guide. He was incredibly accommodating and worked with our availability. His knowledge of the history of Salem is vast. He goes way beyond the witchcraft hysteria, you'll be blown away with all of the historical facts! It was so much fun and I'm excited to take another tour with him! He was even willing to personalize our tour, going so far as to show me where my ancestor once lived. 10 stars.

This was a called a walking tour but it is simply walking around the commons and stopping every 15 steps or so to listen to him while he points out random buildings. I liken it to a history professor giving a lesson. I would not recommend to anyone. After 45 minutes on our 90 minute ‘tour’ he announced it was done. And we literally had walked around the commons and saw nothing. Don’t waste your time and money.

Interesting tour. Covers a lot of seemingly unconnected topics related to the history of the area and it's famous residents that all end up being connected. The tour guide definitely enjoys what he does and is enthusiastic about sharing the stories with you. Learned a lot of fun history and had a good time. Just so you know, the tour is an all outdoor tour. You are not entering any buildings or underground tunnels as part of the tour. So avoid bad weather if you can. Also, you might want to opt for choosing a time during the... read more

100% worth the money. The tour guide was great and well humored. Accommodated a big group on short notice and was able to point out all sorts of small things that you see every day living in New England and wouldn't have paid a second glance. Absolutely worth the tour.
