Terrible hospital!! Last October my husband fell on a chainsaw and had a deep gaping wound on his arm. We waited in the ER for about 6 hours for the doctor to suture his wound (26 stitches). After the doctor finally sutured the wound he was given oral antibiotics and sent home, after 3 days his arm became swollen and inflamed so we went back to the ER and he was admitted for IV antibiotics. RecommendedJon was very pleased with his 1st time experience at SMDH outpatient surgery department... he said the staff treated him like family, and he thought the whole process went well. He said the surgery girls are the best! And thanks to Dr Krenning for coming to SMDH to do the procedure.
took mom to MRI was impressed with the what do you call it service, compassion , or professionalism the crew did excellent, the Doctors, still have a long way to go before I forgive them
SMDH has been great tonight working to do everything possible to get my 16 yr old daughter better she has been so sick for 2 and a half week. Been to ER 3 times first 2 times in Rolla Mo. which they really didn't do much and she ended back within in 2 days. Salem Hospital is making sure they don't miss anything she's on her 4th IV bag because she was so dehydrated I believe within a few more days her kidneys would of shut down they have saved her live. Bless you for such great care!!
smdh thinks it is ok to SUE poor people over small Bill's. there has also never been a time I have been to this hospital and have had an accurate diagnosis. in fact once when I was 16 I had complications with a surgery. their answer was to give me a narcotic pain killer and have me drive 8 hours north to my surgeon. whose answer was I needed emergency surgery. time after time smdh has proven I competent and even most of residence in Salem would rather make the drove to Houston instead of even looking at this blight of a heal... read more
poor quality care , lack of knowledge, no compassion, waste of time tubed my husband when he clearly stated he didn’t want ! Made his last days horrible because no one cared ! I would rather die than go to this hospital!
