I never recommend you live here. The apartment is very old and in poor condition, which is fine as living here was my decision. But, once I moved in, the management stopped caring about me. They were more than happy to raise my rent and charge me for anything they can. When I first moved in, they asked me to report any issues or damage, which sounds thoughtful. However, as the issues were minor (peeling paint, dirty oven, toilet.., not any issues with usage), they tended to ignore them. That was usually okay until move-out. ... read more

Salem Courthouse is a wonderful community to call home. The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet, offering a relaxing atmosphere with ample parking space. Its location is especially convenient—there's a bus stop right outside the complex, and nearby stores like Walmart and Payless make running daily errands hassle-free. One of my favorite aspects of living here was taking walks around the Purdue Research Park, which is a beautiful spot for evening strolls. Very mixed experience. Let's start with the good points: The area is beautiful, lots of green spaces, cute squirels everywhere, ideal for a person used to the countryside like me. The complex is served by two bus stops, one just in front (line 1B), the other 5 minutes away by walk (line 10). Walmart is really close and can be reached by walk in ~12 minutes, so no worries if you don't have a car right after move-in. The tennis courts and fitness room are very convenient.
