I love Sakura, I know the staff very well and everything is good. My family goes there a lot. Very good cooked food and Sushi!
We have eaten here before and had no issues. However we recently booked a party of 14 and asked for their private room. Our company was closing and it was our last dinner together as a team so our evening was going to be reminescing, etc. When we got to the restaurant we were told we could not have the private room because you have to have 15 people. I had a very bad experience with Sakura in Laurel! I went to this restaurant and me and my boyfriend wanted to split the bill in half on our credit cards. After waiting 10 minutes for it to be done, waitress came back and she charged my boyfriend's card $24 and charged me by accident $240 instead of $24 !!! She did not even apologize, she just started explaining that she change the amount in the credit card machine and it's back to $24. Sakura is great foood, with a nice, fun atmosphere for the family.
The food here is delicious! It is hands down one of my favorite places to eat - especially Japanese/hibachi food. The owners are super friendly, the service is quick, and the wait is never too long (which for a family with two young children is a HUGE bonus). Sakura's is one of my family's go to restaurants and one of my 4 year old's absolute favorite restaurants. Anytime we ask her where she wants to eat, she says "Lily's restuarant!" (Lily is one of the owners) Check it out if you haven't already. Yum!
