Great sushi in a relaxed environment. – The first time I visited Sakana was at the Glendale location. I sat down at the bar and asked the sushi chef, Masa (forgive me if it is spelled wrong), what he would recommend. He made my bf and me delicious rolls that were not even on the menu. Great experience. I have since been to the Scottsdale location as well and can say that I am never disappointed. It is always crowded on a weekend night. best sushi ever, love ray's sushi – we came to celebrate our anniversary from texas and we got more than sightseeing. chef named ray gave us more than just ordinary anniversary dinner. ray and rest crew gave us best anniversary ever. good sevice and great food. planning to go back next year.
Underwhelmed... – I regret that this was not one of my favorite sushi experiences. This restaurant was recommended by a friend but my husband and I were disappointed. The service was clumsy and cluttered, the Maguro was still slightly frozen, the shrimp tempura in our shrimp tempura roll was cold - a sign that it was not freshly made for our order.
