We had a follow-up orthopedic appointment for my daughter today with Dr. Amie N. Kawashima. We arrived 15 minutes late and were told that Dr. Kawashima refuses to see any patient who is 15 minutes late due to a “busy schedule.” This was a pediatric appointment — for a child, not an adult. Showing zero flexibility for a child’s medical visit was extremely disappointing and upsetting. We were also told that we were supposed to call if we were running late. Very bad experience with this department and the lack of transparency and communication. There was no information on the so called grace period for the appointment. Parked in hospital parking garage with no signs or directions to walk across the entire hospital only to be turned away and have to reschedule. I can assure you because we both had to call out of work, we will NOT be recommending this facility or rescheduling.

The neurologist was very professional and well informed. I felt as though she truly cared for my son and wanted to be a team to get the best care for him.
