Stay away if you need emergency services. It’s better to go somewhere else because they just guess what’s wrong and push you out. They do not care about you or your health. They just want to go back to talking to each other. I know the hospital does not care but I hope this reaches out to people to STAY AWAY FROM THE ER!!!!!! If you want help and treatment go anywhere else than here. I wish they would fix these issues as you can see from other reviews. All the staff that cared for me were great. Got in to room quickly and care followed as quickly as was reasonably possible. Everyone was courteous and friendly and they even put up with my humor and wit through it all. A wonderful ER visit overall.

Apparently I have a viral upper respiratory infection. Only thing prescribed was zofraine for throwing up.. I was placed in a room with no bed, then moved to a waiting room inside the ER with other sick individuals. I felt bad enough I went to the ER and the nurse wouldn’t even give me 2 days off from work.. because she said “you aren’t contagious”. Went by ambulance after having a seizure only to be told I fainted. They were rude, refused to let my husband back so he could tell them what happened, cut me off when telling them what happened because "I" wouldn't listen when in reality they wouldn't. The doctor was rude. The two female nurses laughed at me and mocked me. But hey, it was shift change so who could blame them....I also found out I have epilepsy from the tests my doctor later ordered that they should have ran when I came. My daughter was having severe abdominal pain. She has special needs. The staff in the ER were fabulous with her! The phlebotomy tech, the X-ray tech, the Nurse, and the Doctor were all very good to her. She got great, thorough care that was fast. They even gave her a nice activity pack. It was very thoughtful. Thank you St. Mary's Kankakee ER staff!
