My mother received the best care at the Koontz center. I was with her all along her journey with cancer and she always felt lucky we found the Koontz center. From the first time we met Dr Pluard, we both had a feeling he was the right oncologist for her needs, little did we know he would do so much to prolong and improve her quality of life for the next five years. I am beyond grateful they (St. Lukes Hospital) agreed to open this specialty clinic! It is wonderful to be among medical staff who recognize the unique needs of those of us who are metastatic / stage 4 as it is a whole new ball-park from earlier stages. Dr. Pluard is fantastic and I knew from the first meeting that this is who I want over-seeing my treatment (my life!). I drive nearly 5 hours each way to come to his clinic even though there are cancer centers much closer - it is worth the long drive for a staff that speciali... read more
