In 2010 I arrived at this hospital with abdominal pains. I had been throwing up with survere diarrhea for 7 days! There was a white German doctor in the emergency room that barely looked at me or my case! He was about to send me home then the nurse came over for samples because I told her that I felt as though I was going to die! I told her my symptoms and how long I had had them. Pre-op testing was done last week, and I was truly impressed. The staff were professional, friendly, and made the experience smooth and reassuring. The care in the main hospital has been excellent. The ER, however, really needs improvement. Long waits and staff appearing disengaged leave patients feeling overlooked. It’s a noticeable gap compared to the strong care the rest of the hospital provides. The care received at this hospital was unacceptable and deeply disappointing. I arrived in pain and left feeling worse, without receiving any medication and without the doctor providing an explanation regarding my medical condition. Both the nurse and the doctor refused to provide their names. I was informed at 8:00 p.m. that I would be given my discharge paperwork; however, it was not provided until midnight.
