I went to the St. Al’s urgent care yesterday & told them that I had a very sore throat, I couldn’t keep anything down, I was achy, I had a bad cough & I had some pain in my abdomen. Because I am 16 weeks pregnant, they told me to go to the ER. The ER was busy, so it took a while to get back to a room. Once I was in a room, I was left unattended for hours at a time. Went in for a reoccurring dental abscess. I was in severe pain. There was a bit of a wait in the ER because they were backed up, but when I was able to be treated, the nurses, Dr.s and staff were very kind and and thorough. I had to stay overnight for emergency surgery with Dr. O'Brien who did a superb job. They wanted me to stay longer, but let me go by my own request.
I went in the other night with extreme physical anxiety symptoms and dehydration. I had been in pure agony to the point that everyone in my life told me to go to the er. I was panicking, barely able to control my breath, and needed my boyfriend to help explain everything. They took me back to a room and checked my vitals then I heard nothing for awhile. Luke Morris DO and Nurse Casey Donahue raised my Na 12 points in two hours. It gave me a brain injury. I sued and the hospital had the ICU doc that turned my IV 500 to 50 knowingly lie about it in my med mal case. I lost everything. No moral compass.
I have always felt well taken care of & respected. They listened and showed me my needs mattered.
