This is as good as it gets. Evan is professional, courteous, an excellent instructor and a joy to be around. The value is absolutely there with sail time. Would not hesitate to recommend them 100%!
Just completed ASA 103 and 104 on a high quality newer Beneteau 40.1 with Captain Paul sailing Galveston Bay for three days with two overnight stays. The Captain Paul (a top instructor) is exceptionally knowledgeable and patient, explaining complex sailing concepts clearly, making learning enjoyable and effective. I was looking for a way to renew my passion for sailing through chartering or perhaps buying a boat in the Houston Galveston area. Fortunately, I discovered SailTime Houston that provided a membership program that put me on a beautiful three year-old Beneteau Oceanis 40.1. I took the ASA 101 course with John over Memorial Day weekend. John was extremely patient and was an excellent teacher. When on the boat, John allowed us to do as much or as little as we wanted to, and provided a safety net when navigating through the busy channels and into Galveston Bay. I had some experience but I was with another student who had zero sailing knowledge prior to the class. John worked with both of us according to how comfortable we were and I can’t say enough good things about him and the sailing school.
Our experience at SailTime has been amazing! From our first visit, the staff has been warm, welcoming, and passionate about sailing. Instructors are true subject matter experts and communicate well, making the class both enjoyable and informative. The boats and equipment are new, well kept and top-notch, and the staff provides a safe and supportive environment to learn. In summary SailTime has demonstrated how to combine professionalism, fun, and top-quality instruction every time we have visited them.
