Highly recommend sailing with Dan and Katherine! It was truly one of the best experiences we had while visiting OBX. My kids loved taking turns steering the boat, and our dog also came along. He was completely comfortable on the boat. We were lucky enough to have dolphins jumping around us, and they even started following the boat! Dan and Katherine were amazing. We'd give them 6 stars if we could. They were so friendly, but never conspicuous—the perfect balance when you're on a relatively small boat for 2.5 hours (it was the perfect size for a couple or a small group). We had a wonderful time as they sailed around the sound during sunset. We even saw several dolphins up close. Dan and Katherine explained how they sailed the boat and allowed us to steer for a bit. We sailed with Katherine and Dan on a sunset cruise this weekend. It was a great experience for us and our teen granddaughter! They were so personable and accommodating. They allowed us to help crew the boat and were very willing to adapt to our comfort-level with speed. The inland waterway was perfect for the sail, and we were thrilled when a pod of dolphins repeatedly swam around the boat. Dan even extended our sail time to spend more time with the pod.
