Chip at Sail Fish did a fantastic job on my 1977 refurb. Showroom new and sails like a dream!
We were gifted a 1970's sunfish from close friends. It was in very rough shape. Because it holds a lot of sentimental value for us we needed someone to restore it to its former glory. We contacted Chip at Sunfish Sailboat and he did an incredible restoration. The boat looks amazing and it sails incredibly well. We could not be happier! Worth every penny and more! We have had our restored 1973 Sun Fish for over a month now and could not be more pleased. It sails beautifully and the fit and finish are better than new. Chip did an outstanding job restoring the boat and he was an absolute pleasure to deal with. We are from North Carolina and summer in Vermont. I thought my 1980 Sunfish was damaged beyond repair by tropical storm Isaias in the summer of 2020. I found Chip’s website and shared my tale of woe and sent him pictures of the damage. We recently purchased a refurbished sunfish that, in my opinion, is even better than new! Chip is great at what he does! He makes sure the hull is in good shape and replaces all the rigging and includes a new sail, if needed. He even adds little details to make your sailing experience better - like a swivel jam cleat for the jib sheet. He takes his time to help you understand how to rig and gives you a manual for reference. She sails like a dream and we couldn't be happier!
