My husband was a patient here and really liked Jessica. Unfortunately, at the time they didn't take insurance so when we would request reimbursement we would be penalized for using an 'out of network' doctor. Therefore, we had to switch after a year. When my son needed a psychiatrist I was pleasantly surprised to find out from a neighbor that Sage Mental Health helps children as well. I knew I could take him somewhere I trusted. Jessica is a phenomenal provider. Everyone involved in her practice, herself included, is kind, gracious and comfortable to be around. Ideally you would want your provider to be level-headed, practical, unbaised and reasonable. She is all of these things. Rare find for sure.
As someone who has spent 27 years in east Louisville, this is by far the most caring and knowledgeable place for psychiatric medicine. They go out of their way to make sure you get your medicine on time (even on weekends for emergencies) and are overall a fresh and welcoming presence. They talk WITH you about your medicine and not AT you. They help you understand alternatives and do a good job at referring outside if they feel they can’t quite help with what you need. Staff greeted me friendly manner in cozy, sophisticated environment. Jessica was prepared, professional, and understanding. She should have a long and busy career.
I was previously a patient at a big name practice here in Louisville, and Jessica has done more for me in 3 months than they did in 4 years of treatment. She is compassionate, knowledgeable, and really takes your own experiences and opinions on treatment into consideration when developing a plan for your mental health.
