I found SAGE Counseling really helpful. The sessions gave me practical tools I can use in everyday life, not just ideas that sound good on paper. I learned to pause before reacting, weigh the pros and cons of a decision, and recognize my triggers before they lead me to a choice I'll regret. The counselors were supportive and easy to talk to, and I never felt judged. I'm making more thoughtful decisions now, both in school and at home, and I'd recommend SAGE to anyone who wants to handle stress and big choices better.
The transition from prison life into civilian life can be a struggle. Prior to my release I learned that I would be required to attend this "SAGE" transition program. My thoughts regarding this were less than positive.
