This weekend For the first time in a two-day trip, I had the worst memory and experience in this restaurant. Since I am familiar with Iranian food, I ordered a barberry pilaf with chicken. The food was brought immediately. The rice was very dry and looked like leftovers, and the chicken was overcooked. It didn't look good at all. I decided to order a chicken kebab. I made a spontaneous decision to stop in. Sat at the bar and enjoy a glass of wine and some incredible bites to eat. Great service! Genuine people! Will be back for dinner sometime.
We have been waiting for quite a few months for an opportunity to come over to Saffron restaurant in Palm Springs. We were greeted warmly by the very professional waitstaff. We loved Persian food so much when we lived in Los Angeles, so it was a special treat to find Saffron in Coachella Valley where it is unique. Our appetizers were the beautiful watermelon tower with feta and arugula, and the three dip sampler of hummus, eggplant dip and masto kheyar made of yogurt. Update: I did not speak or enter the restaurant, no one was rude to any host. We will not ever be returning to this establishment. The Hours say closes at 9. We got here at 8:15 driving 25 mins from our airbnb with a group of 11. We had to find another place last second with places closing at 9. Tell people you close at 8 and not 9. Please do not try to paint us as rude or disrespectful as nothing was said to your host.
