This is definitely not a South Indian restaurant. I ordered the lamb biryani and chicken pakodi, and the food was not good at all. The chicken pakodi was awful. They cook the biryani fresh for each order, which is not how real biryani is made. You cannot make biryani on the fly. I am sorry, but that is not how it works. I got we got Samosa, Garlic Naan, and I got the Chicken Tikka Masala, Medium. My wife got the Butter Chicken, mild. The Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken tasted the EXACT same. Even after we switched bowls it was impossible to tell the difference. The chicken tastes like it was cut straight off of a rotisserie chicken and thrown in with the other ingredients. Our server was impersonal, and didn’t even fill out water until we were ready for the check. 100% will not be coming back.
Great food and within walking distance of my office. I eat here as often as I can and have never been disappointed. They used to have a Chicken Vindaloo that packed a punch, but I did not see that on the menu today. I'll have to check into that next time. The Rupee Basmati Rice beer is very nice also.
