I visited 3 days ago. Lots of people without masks. I was at deli and 2 women also there without masks. I asked if they would put on masks as required by state mandate AND Safeway policy per their large sign at entrance. These women immediately became loud, angry and then accused me of "shedding my covid vaccine on them" and flipped me off. I left scene and asked employee to call manager (they then called me a"Karen" apparently not getting what a"Karen' actually reverse to). It was a quick in & out stop for my lunchbreak. The staff were friendly & professional. The food was fresh and hot. Self service check out saved me precious time as my break was very short. I would recommend this Safeway to others.
We’re longtime Safeway customers. So-yesterday-Mother’s Day-my husband bought salmon and rockfish which is my favorite. His plan was to grill on barbecue. When we opened the package the ammonia smell almost knocked us over!! This was inedible. Unfortunately we could not find the receipt to take it back! We were so disappointed! Very convenient to pick up prescriptions while shopping, it would be nice if the hours were the same every day, and if the text messages regarding your refills listed the name of the drug that had been refilled, besides just the last four digits of the prescription number. Other than that, overall great job.
The prices advertised is way off.
I’ve been a customer for over five years. It can be a quick stop with several checkout counters and four self check registers. Plenty of great produce, many items on sale, and a pharmacy. I’ve never encountered any problems there. All friendly personnel.
Date of incident: October 3, 2018, about 1:00 PM. I signed in to have a pneumonia shot, took the form to the receptionist who was typing on her computer and wearing earphones. I assumed that she was on the phone or doing other work and that she would acknowledge my presence when she was free. She continued to type, and did not look up or let me know in any way that she'd seen me and would be with me asap. After 5 or more minutes she took the form that I'd completed and put the counter. They sign up your number for robocall service without any authorization. I keep getting multiple calls per day every day about coming in and getting flu shot and there is nothing they can do to stop it. I even took all my prescriptions to another pharmacy and thought that robocalls will stop but NO they continue. Isn't it against the law to "sell" your number or sign you up for everyday non-stop calls? I wouldn't recommend using Safeway Pharmacy. Please, go to Fred Meyer.
