I've been consistently impressed with Safeway pharmacy. Their service is incredibly quick, and the staff is knowledgeable and always courteous. They make an effort to know their customers, which adds a personal touch to every visit. This terrific service is a stark contrast to my experiences with CVS, where the service has been nothing short of a disaster. Safeway pharmacy has earned my loyalty with their exceptional performance and customer care.
Switched to Safeway as my regular pharmacy from CVS mainly because Safeway has a more consistent stock of maintenance meds I take. It's also closer to my house and there seems to be less of a line to pick up scripts or talk to the pharmacist. There are probably fewer actions I can take via the Safeway app compared to the CVS app, making management of my scripts a touch more cumbersome, but it's a very minor tradeoff. We love all of the staff, but especially Carla!
Today I visited the Safeway Pharmacy, like I have done over the past 25 years living in McLean. Karla has always been a great Pharmacist, helping me and my family through Covid and other health problems. Today, she let me know about a new pneumonia shot that I should take. She said she knew I was one of her high risk patients with Asthma, so she wanted to let me know. Wow! I was blown away with her kindness and memory. Safeway is so lucky to have her on their team! Our family is so lucky to have her looking out for us.
Carla has been super helpful and makes an effort to be in the know about her customers. Rich is great as well, but I have not seen him in a while. My frustration is with my HRT med. Completely backordered for over a month now. My price keeps on climbing as well. Under $100 for a 3 month supply, now over $170. When I questioned Carla she seemed a bit annoyed with my questioning.
