I work at the Walgreens Pharmacy next door, and Angela and The other pharmacy staff members are such a joy to work next door to. When we get patients who's insurance doesn't allow them to fill at either us or Safeway, we work together to get the patient taken care of. As my personal go-to pharmacy, their team is always super friendly and responsive. The store has some of the nicest team members at any Safeway I've ever been to. Thanks guys!
They state their discount drug program was discontinued in July, so they have no low cost or free medications. Coming from Georgia (where we used Publix) and having Medicare part D, I was used to paying about 21.00 for my generic estratest at Kroger (Frys here). Safeway said the GENERIC would be 118.00 while the Frys here is still in the same range as Kroger in Georgia. My sister's Lisinopril was free at Publix and only 4.00 at Frys here. So even though closer to us, we won't be using Safeway!
