It's a scam I was told I was getting equipment for free, the person that came to install never told me about the extra sensor he made sign paperwork explaining everything about my monthly payment he never mentioned it was to pay for the extra equipment he installed

It's a scam. You get a call after moving into your home and if you're a first-time homeowner, everything seems like it is important. So you take the call and they tell you some line about how it's a free service offered by your lender or whatever which honestly should have been my first red flag but everything just felt like it was important not to miss in case it had something to do with making sure the home loan doesn't default.
