When trusting your medical issues with professionals, you expect them to verify information before working on you. Like DOB and name. This ensures that everything matches to limit harm. I have the same expectations when it comes to working on my vehicles. Safelite this morning failed to verify information and has destroyed my trust in them. Traveled 1500 miles to take care of a broken window on my deceased Father's auto. Repeatedly had Middletown Safelite try to alter appointment times and parameters. Repeatedly had to reschedule for a specific date and time that was first agreed upon. Was called two days before the scheduled appointment because of an inclement weather concern. My car was hit with road debris and it cracked the windshield and the panoramic roof. Both need replacement. Geico requires you use their shops for glass if you do not want to pay out of pocket. Safelite does windshields and Sunroof Express does sunroofs. On arrival for the windshield replacement the tech informed my a had more than just windshield damage (DUH!) - He than asked for Safelite to also do the sunroof repair. I can only begin my review of my recent visits to this Safelite Auto Glass location with one warning: CUSTOMER BEWARE. After two failed attempts in the same week to replace my windshield, I encountered two major issues: first, the initial windshield arrived cracked, and second, the replacement windshield never arrived from the warehouse. Save your time and money and go somewhere else first.I brought my car in on March 6th after someone broke my window. The glass was quickly fix, however, when I went to leave I noticed the air bag light was on on my dashboard and there was glass rattling in my door. I went back inside and was told to bring the car back on the 8th if the problems persisted. As shocking as this may sound, both issues did not resolve themselves and I had to bring the car back in. They did not seal 18 inches of my windshield which then led to water pouring into my dash when I went through a car wash and fried my motherboard. My car completely stopped working and I had to have it towed. Their insurance guy inspected it and agreed it was their fault but since the water has dried out enough, they’re not going to pay to have my motherboard fixed. DO NOT GET YOUR WINDSHIELD INSTALLED HERE
Absolutely a nightmare of a place to get a window replaced. Do not use Safelite. Monday I came in for a appointment and after 45 mins they came out and told they ordered the wrong window and I had to reschedule. I came in early today and for my scheduled time at 3 for my window and recalibration, and nobody came out to get my key. At 3:30 I said Hey do you want the key? Not the happy friendly place they portray on the commercials. Had an appointment and had some questions about how long it takes, and about new wiper blades. No one there will answer the phone, just play a bunch of recordings, don't put you through to a real person. I stopped in the Ft. Myers office, guy said "you can't just stop in here and get a windshield replaced" I said I have an appointment; no one will answer the phone to answer questions! So rude I didn't show up for my appointment, I'll be going somewhere else.
