Submitted a permit to remove and rebuild a 6’ x 24’ existing deck on a house in Albion City. Submitted permit, never heard back after 3 days. I called and found out they need a zoning approval through Albion city. I called Albion city, filled out the zoning approval application, paid my $45.00 waited 4 days. No response from Albion. I stopped by city hall and they said permits were issued and all was good. So I called Safe built and asked when permit would be emailed. SAFEBUILT IS A COMPLETE JOKE. THEY ARE COMPLETELY DISORGANIZED, THEY HAVE HORRENDOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND CHARGE YOU FOR UNNECESSARY FEES WHEN YOU COMPLAIN ABOUT THEIR LACK OF SERVICE. IF YOU ARGUE WITH THEM ABOUT THE FEES DUE TO THEIR OFFICE'S DISORGANIZATION, THEY THREATEN YOU. THEY ALSO ONLY SCHEDULE INSPECTIONS TWO DAYS OF WEEK, LEAVING COMMUNITY MEMBERS WITHOUT POWER FOR UP TO 6 DAYS DURING WEATHER EMERGENCIES. IF YOU CAN AVOID THEM, DO IT AT ALL COSTS.
This establishment is a real piece of work and not in a good way. They are leaving my customer (an elderly couple in their 80’s) without power for six days because their office staff dropped the ball and had the inspector show up too early. Now they are requiring me to pay another $75 to get the inspector out again because of their short comings. Very very uneducated and unprofessional in how they handle building situations and rental housing
In my experiance and opinion, discriminates, conspires, bias, judgemental, misuse power, implicit targeting, lies, invasion privacy and rights, intrusion, misappropriation facts. Not a very honest experiance with them n told me continue of harassment and all mentioned will follow.
