I am extremely upset by my experience with Graham Norbury at Safe Harbor Oxford Marina. What began as a fueling problem initiated by the attendant quickly escalated into a situation where I was blamed and coerced by Mr. Norbury, the general manager. He insisted the problem was entirely my fault, despite the fact that I had fueled my boat here with gasoline for over 14 years without incident. Nice marina. Floating and fixed docks. Pool in the summer. Boat repair and fuel available. Nice showers and toilets.
We had a misfueling incident in this Marina last week which cost us over $3,000 plus the inconvenience and the aggravation. The misfueling started because the attendant gave us diesel instead of gasoline, which we specifically said “gasoline 3x” because she asked us 3x. Their fuel nozzle is green but it was not labeled Diesel. The attendant didn’t mention the type of fuel when she handed the nozzle to my partner. 40 gallons into fueling, she said this is diesel. The attendant filled our gas tank with diesel and then charged us over $3000 to fix their problem. Graham Norbury was awful to deal with.
