I made my first property tax payment in October and the check did not clear. Tax Collection website shows a check return fee for $53.00. My credit union confirmed I have more than enough money in my account, and said no indication that an attempt was made to cash the check. I called The Sacramento County Tax Collector which kept sending me into a loop when following directions to "press 0 to speak with someone".
