5/5/2025 Still haven't received a refund and still working with the state of Vermont for a resolution, but Donald has not complied. I have been advised that since my money was taken and zero work was done, this is felony theft and home improvement fraud. I really didn't want to go to the police since this is a simple matter of sending a refund. This is ridiculous. I DO NOT RECOMMEND I gave Donald 50% down in June to do a roof job that was never started and I never received a refund as promised. 20 days ago I went above and beyond and even offered to refund me in 4 installments and never received a reply. With all communication ceased I had no choice but to submit a complaint with the state of Vermont which IMO should always be used as a last resort and also why I waited so long before leaving a 1 star review. Don and his Family did a great job roofing my lakehouse. He is very diligent and reasonable.
08/05/2024- still no refund. Wont retrieve his trailer from my lawn. This has become a laughing joke in the community. 07/17/2024 - No receipt, no refund. This has been an open issue March 2024- current. 7/02/2024- Still no receipt, still no refund. He has sent strangers to harass us though. 6/27/2024- Sabans still has not provided our refund and receipt. 6/26/2026 - from my original review. Assured us on 6/25 he would come over to process our refund in the morning when "the banks open". It's 6:23 PM and no refund.
