Dr. Joad is a fantastic doctor. She has helped me manage my T1D for many years now, including through my second pregnancy where she spent so much time helping me maintain good blood sugar control. I'm shocked at the bad reviews. She is extremely intelligent. Maybe some people don't like hearing hard truths?
A first visit with Dr. Joad was informative and helpful. I was impressed by how familiar she was with the health history upon entering the examination room. I left the appointment appreciating the productive conversation and the access we have to great health care. I look forward to working with Dr. Joad for future health concerns!
This person is anything but a doctor. She is the classic card to having “white coat syndrome”. She lacks knowledge over her field, is IMPOSSIBLY unprofessional, and her only excuse to not finding answers due to her sloth to dig deeper is accuse the patient of ‘having a psychological issue’. She chose the wrong career; she should have studied something other than working with people. She's arrogant, unhelpful, and lacks empathy. I gave her my test results from Mexico to check, and she barely even read them before assuming I was fine. I didn't know how GLP-1 works here in the United States until she explained it to me, but as I said, she did so arrogantly. I was switched to this endo after seeing another provider at the same practice for about 10 years for T1D. She made me feel invalidated, dismissed, and when I expressed some chronic health issue concerns (that were pretty severe), she told me she believed they were false symptoms/psychological. She never helps me better manage my diabetes, she sees me for 10 minutes then charges the full amount. If you have chronic health issues, including type 1 diabetes, I do not recommend this provider.
