Brought my 2003 Saab 9-3 here to be fixed because the key wouldn’t turn. They replaced my steering column lock for around 1600.00 assuring me this was the problem. Well the car does start now but the steering wheel will not stay locked, took it back in and now they say it is the pin in the steering wheel??? Also the person who drove it knocked off the plastic piece on top of the gear shifter, he used some kind of adhesive to put it back on. I had a great experience a couple months back on my 1996 900SE, reasonable pricing, especially for guys specializing in Saabs. I'm missing them now that my car is 5 hours away and I can't find anyone else who knows Saab electrical issues. How do you wind up with a car in worse condition than it was before you brought it in to your mechanic well if your mechanic is SaaB tech foreign and domestic or midtown you're in the right place.
