UPDATE 14/07/2026 - After 5 weeks of withholding my money, SA Auto Spares has issued a partial refund of $990. However, they are still withholding $110 for the freight, despite approving a full refund in writing and the return being entirely due to their error (shipping an older, higher-mileage 2010 part instead of the 2015 part I paid for). UPDATE 09/07/2026 - It has now been a full month since this yard received the returned part back (delivered via StarTrack on 9 June). Despite approving a full refund in writing, and the owner publicly replying here two weeks ago that they "will issue a refund," SA Auto Spares is still holding onto both my $1,100 and the part while ignoring my direct correspondence. Good system of tracking all parts, which made the initial phone call quick and easy. The part I bought was perfect as a replacement and correct colour. Wouldn't hesitate to call these guys again.
UPDATE 24/06/2026 - In response to the owner's comment: Blaming your system for automatically swapping a paid-for 2015 part with a higher-mileage 2010 part, without checking with the customer before shipping, is a poor excuse. You publicly state you "will issue a refund," yet your yard has been sitting on both my $1,100 and the returned part since 9 June 2026 while my emails and calls were ignored.
