My visit with Dr. Shaikewitz was just as refreshing as my initial appointment. He adds in humor which decreases the anxiousness of why you are there. He listens, asks questions to assure you understand, and goes over each and every lab result making sure to explain what they mean and the impact. We discuss options and he allowed me to be in control but at the same time, giving a threshold to watch out for to make better decisions surrounding meds/treatment.
