Worst experience ever. Called at 9am when they open for expedited service, then charged for expedited service to show up at 2pm. To diagnose that I had an oil leak, which is what I told him. Then he try to say it’s my transmission. Long story short, paid 1700.00 for him to take 3 days “expedited I guess”to cover a small pin hole with JB weld. Then has the nerve to tell me there may be more leaks. Place is a joke.
There a lot of bumps in the road and miscommunication I had with my partner. But I have to admit overall this guy Scott was a great mechanic. I was lucky to find them in Connecticut. There's no harder job than being a marine mechanic about getting a frozen bolt undone for finding a zinc. I had this guy track down five of them and do it entire rehaul on the engine and commission. I work for a business running boat tours on the CT River. One of our vessels had to be taken out of service due to a problem with an outboard lower unit. We needed help ASAP, and S&S answered the call. Scott and his team provided rapid and continuous communication about the status of parts being delivered and the work being done, which was hugely valuable and appreciated. S&S got us back in operation as quickly as possible, which was exactly what we needed.
This guy Scott is one of the biggest Morons you will ever meet in life !!!! Stay away. Price gauging !! Will hold your boat hostage !!! Probably under water soon. Dont let him take you under with him ...
Charge you for service not asked for. $10 part they charge you $120 (plus labor). Zero communication from Scott the owner what is going on. I had a fix that should’ve cost $400. Ended up costing me $2,500 because they scammed me. Came down to see progress because I was charged for services and ended up they hadn’t done anything. Stay away from this place!!!!
