First visit to S & M. Had my brakes done and reasonably priced. But I wasn't expecting a $16+ credit card transaction fee to be added on to the bill. Would have appreciated being notified of additional fees.
If you’re looking for an honest, highly skilled mechanic, S & M Automotive is worth the drive. I come down from Ventura to see "Shady", and his name couldn’t be more ironic, because there’s nothing shady about him or his work. He’s been maintaining my 2005 Lexus SC430 and has saved me a boatload of money on repairs and maintenance over the years. He’s respectful, friendly, and clearly takes pride in getting things right. Been going to this mechanic for about a decade. He's honest and straight forward. Had him check a car before I bought it, continual freon refills and various other fixes over the years. Could not recommend him enough!
Now I understand why this auto center has so many great reviews! Shady is an amazing specialist and one of the most honest mechanics I’ve ever met. He saved me a lot of money after I got expensive and unnecessary recommendations from the local dealership. Highly recommend!
