Perfectly safe boarding We have boarded our dog at Rye Country Boarding Kennel for around 18 months now and have no reservations with their service. Sure it's not flash, but the animals are safe and well cared for. We've never had any issue with health and the dog has always come back well and happy, whereas when she boarded at the Vet she came back with a foot fungus (which I then had the privilege of paying to rectify the problem), It seems to be a little cheaper here than most vets and boarding kennels probably because th... read more
Rye Country Boarding Kennels is wonderful! Our dog frequently stayed with Rye Country Boarding Kennels for 13 years and I have NEVER had a bad experience. Our dog LOVED going there and we found her healthy and happy when we picked her up. We live in Rye and I have never heard a negative comment about RCBK. I love the personal service the owner provides. I abhor the kennels who provide a "pet resort" and charge extra to feed them different food, play time etc. - what a joke. We had a bad experience with Rye Country Kennels I visited Rye "Country" Kennels myself two weeks ago (12/28/06) and found my dog incredibly skinny and injured. Our dog lost 15% of his body weight after his stay with Rye "Country" Kennels. The thread about dogs losing weight because they miss their owners does not apply here because our dog has boarded with 10+ other kennels throughout his long life and has never lost weight with a prior kennel.
