Arrived at 0800 for a 1230 delivery appt, the lady at the gate an in the office was super nice to me. They was very up front about me being patient since I'm a work in cause I'm so early. Paperwork in my hands an leaving at 1030. Free coffee was included. No overnight parking here but the next street over past the railroad tracks is a street south enough shoulder for about 4 trucks.

We booked the load at 9AM and gave the broker ETA 11 AM. He said ok. Deadheaded 95 miles and showed up at 10:50 AM. The shipper punished us for being late because we figured out later it was supposed to be checked in at 8 AM. Someone else had messed up the load earlier and because we recovered their load from the broker, we got punished. Our driver tried to explain that he drove straight to show up as early as possible even though he wasn’t aware of that appt. He was blamed for and made to wait for.
