I purchased a new Mazda 3 about 18 months ago and after 6 months, the audio system started skipping when linking with my phone. I changed phones from a Samsung to a Pixel and the problem persisted. On the first annual service I mentioned the issue, they updated the firmware and the problem did not get any better.
