Absolutely terrible. I mean TERRIBLE. Had an MRI done. 5 days later have not received results. YOU CAN NOT CALL AND TALK TO ANYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT USE
I've had multiple encounters for myself and my children. Some docs are good, staff is typically horrible. Inefficient, badly trained. Nobody cares about patient. It's all about patient turnover and churning fees. Unnecessary and higher ticket procedures. Post-op does not exist.
2 years, 2 surgeries, no success. He will not help or provide support if his surgery isn't successful. He will push you off to someone else and say to keep resting. I was out of pocket for both payments and he wouldn’t even talk to me post surgery about helping with payments due to the failed procedure. I paid all the first and 85% of the 2nd one. Was referred to FOI and drove 45 mins from Clearwater. After five texts, emails and calls to remind me to not be late and I will be charged for no show, so the ability to communicate is not an issue, I get told they are an hour behind when I arrive. Being I cannot find a seat in x ray, let's say it is not the most welcoming visit. Good thing I am not here for a issue with a knee and hip that makes standing uncomfortable. On July 12, 2024, my wife was seen by Nurse Practitioner (NP) Charles Procuniar, NPI 1699749382, for back pain, at Florida Orthopedic Institute (FOI), 6119 Gunn Highway, Tampa, Florida. NP Procuniar told my wife that he was going to prescribe the drug Gabapentin to help manage the pain, and that the prescription of said drug would be called in to our pharmacy, Publix Pharmacy, 2121 Collier Parkway, Land O’ Lakes, Florida. I have had PT FOI for two different procedures. My hand Dr was excellent as was the OT in Telecom. My visit with a hip Dr was great but the PT in Wesley Chapel fell short of what I was expecting after having used the Telecom facility. I was bounced around from therapist to therapist. Supposedly they work in teams so one can cover for the other. Not so, every visit was like the first day. No consistency in procedures. Im went to Dr Hess for a Trigger middle finger in my right hand . He didn’t do a good surgery on me, not only I did have to go to Brandon Hospital but it has been over eight Months, I even went to therapy , I still have the trigger Finger but now , Im in pain ,when I make a fist my hand hurts plus my ginger is crooked, very upset with this Dr
My experience with Florida Orthopedic Institute is truly second to none. I highly recommend this practice. Dr Lyons is extremely professional, understanding, honest, patient and truly genuinely cares about his patients. He listens to your health needs and responds appropriately. In addition, Dr Lyons is compassionate, empathetic, and easy to talk to and he has a very calming presence that makes me feel at ease during my visits. The Nurse Practitioner and staff are very pleasant and make you feel welcome.
Website is a complete fabrication. They are NOT a one stop shop to see a specialist or get diagnosed. Went there with severe back pain (ongoing for 3 weeks) and was told I needed to make appointments for an MRI and to see a specialist. Also they could provide no pain management other than to take Tylenol and use hot and cold compresses. I didn’t need to make a 34 mile round trip to that facility to be told that.
