I went to the Memorial Herman ER because I had a Cerebral Edema (swollen brain). 5 days later I am still in excruciating pain so I went back to the ER, and they wrote me an order that said I need to schedule an appointment with Ryan McDonald within 1-2 weeks. I call Ryan’s office, and his receptionist says because I didn’t see a neurologist at their ER, I am not a doctor referral, and will need to be seen as a new patient. I took my mother to visit Dr Ryan McDonald on October 30, 2023. My mother has dementia or the like. Dr McDonald promised he would get back to me with results and recommendations. As of today, February 19, 2024 - he and his staff have yet to provide me this information despite my numerous attempts. He and his staff really do not care about my mother's health.

Dr. McDonald is knowledgeable about migraines & all the latest treatments & medications. I’ve had debilitating migraines for many years, but I finally started seeing improvement 6 years ago when I became his patient. He listens to my concerns & gives feedback in a respectful, compassionate manner. He explains things in a clear, understandable way; he’s friendly, caring & he never makes me feel rushed. Dr. McDonald is a real treasure whom I glad to have found.
