Mr. Hobbs is a great lesson teacher for the trumpet. I have been taking lessons with Mr. Hobbs all through middle school, high school, and now on breaks from college. He has taught me from my beginnings on the trumpet to now where I am playing in a college level orchestra. With his teachings, I was able to find success in music at school and outside of school where he pushed me to succeed in the Elgin Youth Symphony Orchestra and in District and State bands. Ryan has been an excellent trumpet instructor for my son from beginning trumpet lessons through high school and beyond! He is a kind, positive, encouraging teacher who is a great professional role model and mentor. Worked with Mr. Hobbs from 7th grade to my senior year of high school, and I have only positive things to say! He really helped elevate my playing to the next level, providing amazing feedback regarding musicianship and technique. He always helped me prepare for upcoming performances and auditions.
