DO NOT do business with this company!! They are scammers!!!! My mom paid on homeowners insurance for 13 years. She had a small kitchen fire 5 months ago and her house is still a mess. The adjuster keeps denying needed repairs and won’t return her calls. After 5 months she still cannot return to her normal life! This company needs to be shut down!!! Looks like I’m gonna have to get my lawyer involved 🤦♀️ Be warned…
Had water damage & RVOS adjuster gave extremely low estimate for repairs. After two contractor estimates, one contractor excused themselves stating they could not come close to doing the repairs for such a low dollar amount. The second contractor negotiated with the RVOS adjuster for 3 weeks & got the adjuster to raise the payment to almost double. Had been using RVOS to insure a rental property for a number of years but decided to change carriers though I never had made a claim against the policy . I always paid the total annual premium at the beginning of each policy year. When I called to cancel my policy my check payment had not yet been deposited so I thought that it would not and either be returned or destroyed. RVOS is a bad company to insured one of the most valuable things-your home. I have been insured for 24 years with the company and have never had a claim. A few months ago I had damage to my roof. I called and completed a claim.. They told me I have an actual cash value policy and not a replaceable value policy. This means the policy is worth the replacement value minus your deductible minus depreciation. In my case, it went from $16, 000+ to $2800+.
