I wish I could say something positive about my experience with Rever Motors and Jeff Simpson, but unfortunately, it was nothing short of a disaster. I brought my 1991 Land Rover Defender 90 to Jeff expecting quality work from someone who seemed to know the ins and outs of these trucks. Do not I repeat do not shop or use this place for service. Jeff the owner is extremely shady, pushy and highly unreliable. I made the mistake of buying a truck off him only to discover numerous problems in the first 6 months of ownership. Jeff attempted to fix some of the issues but was impossible to get a hold of and eventually blamed me saying perhaps I shouldn't own an older car they break. Rever Motors has a fantastic selection of unique vintage cars. If you're a car enthusiast, it would be silly not to visit them at least once. Besides the fan favorite German vehicles, they also carry British brands and some other obscure ones as well that not everyone may be familiar with. Aside from the selection, everyone here was super friendly, helpful and attentive, which meant I got to leave in a very positive mood. Don't you love when that happens?
Beware of owner Jeff . He is not a trustworthy person at all ! He heard that I had a collection of trucks and eagerly came to my garage to lowball and beg me to sell them to him . Through all his fast car salesmen talking ,I had the feeling he was a straight up hustler and he couldn’t be trusted by the way he presented himself . Don’t shop or service your vehicle here! I bought an older Landcruiser from Rever that I knew had been a restoration project for them. They did the bare minimum to get it running and that’s it. The truck broke down on me 4 times in the first six months and my local mechanic couldn’t believe the poor quality of the work that Rever performed. The Rever mechanics didn’t attach the clips on the new fuel lines and the lines blew out on me, leaving me stranded on a side street in Detroit.
