Dr. Montalvo is AMAZING! I'm recommending her to friends and family. Caring, patient, and kind. Her and her staff are all bilingual in English and Spanish. She's the third gastroenterologist I've seen and all I can say is that we need more doctors like her. The United Digestive Office is on top of things. It's easy to request an appointment through their website and the Healow app makes it easy to keep track of all things "patient portal" related.
I was referred to Dr Montalvo from a friend. After being a long term patient at another GI practice, I was searching for someone who took the time to listen, do a physical exam, and look at every aspect of your symptoms including environmental, diet and stress. She is truly the best GI I’ve ever seen. She is dedicated to patient care and getting to the root of your discomforts.
I was immediately impressed with Dr. Montalvo at my first appointment. She listened and answered my questions thoroughly. I was not able to go to the follow up appointment due to a severe injury preventing me from driving for a while. This wonderful and caring doctor actually called me at home and spoke to me for several minutes, going into great detail, her thoughts on my particular case. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of professionalism at Dr. Montalvo's office. I had a scheduled appointment, yet upon arrival, I was informed it had been canceled—without so much as a phone call, email, or text. No notice, no explanation, and no regard for my time. This is completely unacceptable, especially from a medical office where reliability and communication are critical.
