I was referred to Dr Montalvo from a friend. After being a long term patient at another GI practice, I was searching for someone who took the time to listen, do a physical exam, and look at every aspect of your symptoms including environmental, diet and stress. She is truly the best GI I’ve ever seen. She is dedicated to patient care and getting to the root of your discomforts.
I was immediately impressed with Dr. Montalvo at my first appointment. She listened and answered my questions thoroughly. I was not able to go to the follow up appointment due to a severe injury preventing me from driving for a while. This wonderful and caring doctor actually called me at home and spoke to me for several minutes, going into great detail, her thoughts on my particular case. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of professionalism at Dr. Montalvo's office. I had a scheduled appointment, yet upon arrival, I was informed it had been canceled—without so much as a phone call, email, or text. No notice, no explanation, and no regard for my time. This is completely unacceptable, especially from a medical office where reliability and communication are critical. I found Dr Montalvo from a FB group. My first visit was interesting....first of all the building's elevator was broken so I had to walk up four flights of stairs! Good work out! Secondly, she was very backed up and I waited about two hours. She was soooo apologetic...she couldn't have said sorry enough.... She is lovely, sweet, kind and she made me feel so comfortable regarding my future colonoscopy. My procedure experience was great.
