These owners are top notch people. We drove an hour and a half with the boat only to realize we had forgotten to pack our life jackets when we got to the lake. As a last ditch effort we drove to the resort and asked if they would rent us some life jackets for the day. They happily took time out of their day and provided us some life jackets on good honor. The particular cabin we stayed in was the oldest they had. Smelled a little musty and damp. Mentioned to the staff in passing, and they immediately tried to help. They turned on a dehumidifier, which seemed to help. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Spoke with families in other cabins, and they said their cabins were nice. I would recommend the Rusty Moose for families looking for a week at the lake.
If you want luxury, this isn't your place. If you want a beautiful location, with plenty of shade, a great sunset lake view, great hospitality, and excellent service, then give this place a chance!
